Plays

Last Friday the kakapos and the pukekos play was celebrity word. Taylor-Rose was Cafe Sarah was a Judge and Mrs Paraha was a juge too. Jaedyn was the word Paleontology and Natalie was the word COOL. The kakapos had a play called Robot Wars. Quanel was the Mum, Ashlee was Tina, Joseph was Robby the robot Levi was Carl Baki was QT174.

My Grass Head

This photo is my friends grass head her grass  is cool. I didn't get to have a photo and a hair cut for my grass head because I was away my friend Quanels grass head has been cut.

NIE Paper

This is me and Taylor-Rose working on our NIE paper. We were learning about how to tell each cow in the photo. Outside it was so Windy got so cold. My favourite was when me and Taylor-Rose helped me tell which was which.

FireWorks

Boom Boom! Suddenly I herd noisy things coming from outside I couldn't sleep so I went outside in my warm pink blanket they were so loud that they were popping booming and bursting out loud.
It was like sparkling so hard and one nearly went into my window. I asked my mum if I can light my fireworks and she said ok. THE END

Thomas's Dad

Last Friday Thomas's dad came to Rm 8. When Thomas's dad came into Rm 8 we watched a little video it was a long video but it was so fun. We done a experiment about milk and lemons. Thomas's mum poured some milk in a container then Thomas's mum went to the staffroom to heat the milk up and bring it back. Thomass mum came back with the container of milk in it Thomas's dad cut the lemons and squeezed the lemon juice into the milk and it went like a yogurt an all chewy and it felt like chewed up chewing gum.

Board games

Yesterday Mrs paraha had some board games there were six board games and in my group there was Georgia Rhys Ben and of course me (Briian) . My group had the Emotion board game.

Production Show

Room 8, Room 14 and Room 4 are our production buddy's. My mum and dad are coming to watch me do the production performance show. I am in the fruits and vegetables and our group is the garden group. It is fun to be in the production because it is like exercising.

Daffodil day

Today is Daffodil day and room 8 has made some Daffodil flowers. We had to cut out yellow flowers and cut out the middle part of the flower and then Mrs Paraha had to staple the pieces together. Daffodils means HOPE.

Maths Week

This week is maths week and room8 went onto maths week website.

It is fun because you can do lots of things, you can earn money too.

I had no wrappers in my lunch box,
but I had a zip lock bag.
I Guess I'm feeling lucky.We are trying to stop people from using plastic because it destroys our earth.It takes ten to twenty years to break down.

Olympics

I know that the Olympics is something that has lots of sports. I always watch it on t.v 1, it is so amazing and it looks fun if I was in it.
I wish I was really in it. I have always wanted to go to the Olympics to do swimming, biking and running so I can get fit and do alot of running biking and swimming.

Term 3

This term I am looking forward to learning about Maori language week because I am in Kapa Haka and I should learn Maori language.

My goals for this term are to always read to my parents for home learning.

Vardon School Cake Stall

I liked Mrs Parahas cake. Her cake came 2nd. Vardon School has made lots of cakes for fundraising for our senior synidicate next year.

My favourite toy

My favourite toy is moxy girls because there are mermaid moxy girls. They are very cool I'm getting one for Christmas. I saw them on t.v I thought they would be very fun so my mum said OK.

Blindfold Walking

 Yesterday room 8 were doing something called blindfold walking to see what it would be like to be blind. We watched videos of a blind person and how he had to listen really carefully.  We had to put black and white blindfolds around our head really tight so we couldn't see anything and we had to put  string around our hips. It felt really funny when you had to tug the string from your hips. We had to turn the string around so they knew witch direction you ar
e going.

Random act of kindness week

I felt happy that someone gave me 4 cards. One had a rainbow on a pink card and the other cards had writing on the other cards.

I felt really nice because georgia made a heart on my cards.               

I feel sad for Taylor-Rose because I didn`t make her anything.                   

Maths story problem

1. Quanel had 10 apples 3 went missing.How many are left?

My holidays

In the holidays I Went to Palmerston north to see my brothers baby. My brothers baby is so cute and he had soft skin. I got to hold my nephew and when I tickle him he laughs.

Crystal Flowers

On Monday we had made some crystal flowers and my favorite part was when we poured the salt water in our container. My other favourite part when we had to write our name and title on the container. I think after in 1 week the crystal flowers will be on the container. I have a few crystals growing already.

Waitomo Caves

Wow, when the middle syndicate went to the Waitomo caves there were stalactites driping on me. There was lots of glowworms above the water the water was black and cold we had to get in a boat. The boat was little and the boat had cold seats. The seats on the boat were hard I was nearly frozen. And if you touch the stalagmites and the stalactites they will stop growing. The guide told us to keep our hands in the boat the boat was cold. Everyone saw all of the glowworms on top of the cave roof.

My favourite part of tabloids sports was when room 8 won the tug of war twice.

Goals for 2012

Welcome to 2012. My goal is to do as i have been told what to do and i listen to the teacher every day and every time.
